Helene Margaret Bariso Elias received her award at awarding ceremonies held on September 22 in Montreal, Canada.

The Filipina was accompanied by her parents when she received the award.

Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila Garcia sent a letter to Elias early September informing her of her achievement ahead of the public announcement made by ICAO.

Garcia thanked Elias for “making the Philippines proud of her accomplishment at such a young age.”
